Optical photo-video versatility: from sports to macro

Like all Lumix S series lenses, the new LUMIX S 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6 MACRO O.I.S. delivers soft, ribd bokeh with vignetting oey. Its circular diaphragm composed of 11 blades also offers an exceptional quality of iamge with clear and precise lights. It also offers the possibility of obtaining ultra sharp macro photos. Its mpointing system allows to obtain sharp photos at a minimum distance of 0.54m and can reach a magnification of 0.5x at 300mm, in photo as in video.

In addition, this optic also ensures high-performance video recording thanks to a “Focus-Breathing” removal mechanism, essential criteria for videographers in search of excellent video performance. Plus, with super-precise and fast subject tracking, focus is maintained even when zooming. These features allow for professional quality videos.

Optimized construction for remarkable performance

Composed of 17 elements in 11 groups, the combination of 2 Extra-low Dispersion lenses, an Ultra Extra-low Dispersion lens, and an Ultra-high Refraction lens allows this lens to effectively reduce aberrations chromatic axial (telephoto) and magnification (wide-angle), while remaining compact.

Equipped with DFD technology, this lens also offers ultra-precise and fast autofocus at 480 images per second, ideal for sports and / or animal photos.

In addition to autofocus, the LUMIX S 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6 MACRO O.I.S. is also equipped with an Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.). Compatible with Dual I.S.2 Dual Stabilization on Lumix devices, it allows you to use a slower shutter speed of 5.5 stops and provides incredible stability even at 300mm telephoto zooms.

Particularly robust, its design makes it ideal for mobile users who want to travel in all environments. With its light weight of around 790g, the LUMIX S 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6 offers unique mobility.

Dust and splash resistant, it is perfectly suited for use in difficult conditions down to -10 ° C, to meet the needs of professionals.

Equipped with a filter diameter of 77mm, the lens is also protected by a fluorite coating which prevents water or oil from catching on its front lens.

Panasonic and members of the L-mount system alliance are committed to the development of new L-mount lenses to expand the range and meet the needs of photographers and videographers. Three new fixed Lumix S optics with f / 1.8 aperture (24mm, 35mm, 50mm) are thus under development.
