Broadcast your events in 4K HDR

One entry after another

Customers and spectators alike are demanding more and more 4K images at events, but your current HD sources aren’t obsolete, and the V-600UHD lets you transition to 4K when the budget or event. ask. Thanks to Roland Ultra Scaler technology, scaling is available on each input. So you can use Full HD and 4K sources simultaneously and get output at various resolutions. You can also take advantage of the high pixel density of 4K sources in Full HD workflows to achieve visually impressive results without any hassle.

Program System Version. 2.0

With the free update Ver.2.0, the V-600UHD becomes a powerful single operator mixer. “Automatic ROI” is a technological camera assistance system, combining strong facial recognition with the Roland Region Of Interest function. This version 2.0 offers all-in-one LAN control of PTZ cameras from multiple manufacturers.

4K without compromise

Switching to 4K greatly improves the picture quality of your productions. So why use mixers that can deliver more pixels but miss out on the real possibilities of 4K?

Wide range of dynamics [HDR]

The V-600UHD uses HDR (High Dynamic Range) to make your events even more incredible. You don’t just see more pixels; you see better, more dynamic pixels that provide all the detail in the darker and brighter areas of your image. HDR provides well-balanced stage lighting without over-saturation for IMAG, and makes this much easier than with SDR. But the V-600UHD can also process high dynamic SDR signals.

60 Hz frame rate

With full compatibility with the 60Hz frame rate, the VR-600UHD provides a smooth and crisp video image without the blurring that occurs in time-lapse at a rate of 30Hz.

A brighter color space

The V-600UHD is compatible with Rec.2020, the highest WCG (Wide Color Gamut) value, as well as RGB and Rec.709 standards to display the widest range of visible colors. This allows for a better level of realism and color accuracy, especially in reds and yellows.

10-bit 4: 4: 4 color to the pixel

Internal 10-bit color processing reduces the appearance of color bands and sharpens detailed content from computers. It makes it easier to read small print and other fine details under all viewing conditions.

Compatible with DCI Cinema 4K resolution

Not all 4K content has the same aspect ratio. Although all 4K content is 2160 pixels high, DCI or “Cinema 4K” is 4096 pixels wide, which is 256 pixels taller than UHD. The V-600UHD lets you mix and display content in their original aspect ratio, without cropping or letterboxing.

Appropriate inputs / outputs

The V-600UHD features four HDMI 2.0 inputs and two 12G-SDI inputs, perfect for events using multiple computers and video playback sources compatible with IMAG cameras. Each input can independently accept and scale HD, Full HD, UHD 4K, DCI 4K and PC resolutions, from UXGA to DCI 4K, without external converters. The AUX function makes it easy to include discrete screens at the foot of the stage, while the configurable multiview monitor allows users to view all sources, programs and previews at a glance. All outputs are also compatible with downscaling to Full HD for sending to a streaming encoder or HD display.

Shoot from all angles with a single 4K camera

You don’t need multiple cameras to get multiple shots. When it is absolutely necessary to recover a wide shot of the stage, medium shots of all the participants and tight shots of each of them, the V-600UHD can do it all thanks to its [ROI] (Region of interest) integrated. It allows you to position a single 4K camera aimed at the scene and then apply the input sharing and scaling functions of the V-600UHD to obtain up to eight “camera planes” and assign them to the transition points of the V-600UHD . This improves the quality of your productions without increasing the number of cameras, with the increases in cost and hassle that this implies.

No need for camera operators

“Automatic ROI” is a technological camera assistance system, combining strong facial recognition with the Roland Region Of Interest function. Paired with Canon XF705 / 400/405 cameras, two Region Of Interest windows of the V-600UHD zoom, rotate and follow two people within a scene, automatically generating variable camera shots without the intervention of a dedicated operator. Installation is easy and done with just one HDMI cable and one Ethernet cable.

Get creative with composition

The V-600UHD offers a PnP Image Insertion feature, which is much more versatile than a simple Image Insertion. It lets you get results comparable to a dedicated screen processor, with fully customizable aspect ratios, sizes and source scaling so you can display what you want where you want it. . You can combine scalable PnPs with DCI 4K’s unique pixel width to create engaging and impressive presentations.

Add an audio system

Audio signals associated with digital video signals can be complicated to process by external audio equipment at events and shows. But the V-600UHD offers superior audio signal handling, thanks to 24-bit 48 kHz processing that lets you avoid problems before they happen. Using the Audio Follows Video feature, you can unpair the audio from the selected source and send it to an external mixer. And an audio signal from the same mixer can also be associated with one or all of the video outputs and then sent to the Internet, a recorder or to a listening room.

Control of multiple remote cameras and PTZ

When LAN connected PTZ cameras are required, you can control them using the V-600HD. You can easily use JVC, Panasonic, Sony, PTZOPtics, Avonic, and VISCA-compatible PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras to streamline your workflow without requiring additional camera operators.

The best solution for working with LED screens

LED display technology has quickly become an incredibly creative tool for event designers, behind the scenes or as a side display at outdoor concerts. When using an SDR switcher with IMAG cameras filming a very bright LED screen in the background, it is difficult to get adequate lighting from the presenter or artist in front. But now you can work in dim stage lights and very bright backgrounds – just use an HDR camera and the V-600UHD, and your subject will be suitably lit.

Corporate events and festivals often use displays that exceed 1920 pixels in HD format. Thanks to the V-600UHD’s compatibility with DCI Cinema 4K resolution, you will be able to switch content with frames exceeding 4096 pixels, thus meeting the demands of the most creative event designers. The V-600UHD delivers incredibly high quality “point-to-point” output scaling. It allows you to connect directly to a control LED display with the appropriate pixel size, without the need for a scaling processor with the latency it induces.
