Full-featured and flexible multi-format video switcher giving you complete control over video sources, key layers and mixer engine configurations. The V-1200HD introduces a unique flexible hybrid motor with 4:2:2 broadcast switch and 4:4:4 live event switch. In addition to its robust video functions, the V-1200HD is also equipped with a built-in 16-channel audio mixer.

Hybrid motor 2 M/E switch and processor for broadcasts and live events

The Roland V-1200HD Multiformat Video Switcher is a 2 M/E switcher featuring a new 4:2:2/4:4:4 hybrid motor and combining the functionality of a production switcher with the power of a presentation switcher. It is possible to select several M/E configurations among 1 M/E, 1.5 M/E and 2 M/E according to your production needs. Inputs include 10 3G/HD-SDI and 4 HDMI with 6 3G/HD-SDI outputs and 2 HDMI outputs. Converters on HDMI 3 & 4 inputs and HDMI outputs support SD, HD and VESA resolutions. Switch using the V-1200HDR control surface or free Remote Control Software (RCS). Video inputs and the powerful built-in 16-channel audio mixer can be expanded with the XI series video and audio expansion cards. The intuitive user interface with assignable connection points and onscreen names provides maximum flexibility for live production or broadcast.

Mode 2 M/E

Provides standard 2 M/E operating style. Two keyers can be used with each M/E. The priority of the keyers can be assigned and changed. It is possible to re-enter a video source from M/E 1 to M/E 2, but also to reverse the re-entry from M/E 2 to M/E 1. This means that you can switch both M/E and send them from a single PGM output. The two M/E can also be sent independently, allowing the use of applications such as simultaneous transmission of captions in two different languages.

1.5 M/E mode

This type of operation offers the highest performance and allows the use of PGM / PST lines as final step in addition to M / E 1. All four keyers can be used in M ​​/ E 1. You can freely change the priority. of each keyer and even copy keyers. This mode allows for complex mixing operations such as switching a video source with four compositions to a single video source.

Mode 1 M/E

This type of simple operation uses 1 M/E and 4 keyers. In addition to using PGM/PST lines on the main line, you can use two AUX buses. This mode allows discrete video switching and routing to additional outputs, making the V-1200HD the ideal master switch for many broadcast and live performance applications.

4:4:4 multiformat processor

Two converters are provided between the 4:2:2 motor and the 4:4:4 motor, and two converters between HDMI IN 3 and 4 and the 4:4:4 motor, which allows switching, keying composition automatic and matrix output. Signals sent from HDMI IN 3 and 4 can be sent to both 4:2:2 process and 4:4:4 process, which means that by selecting the latter option, you get sharper computer images. With converters, you can also display a single image on two screens.

Broadcast studios

A wide range of video effects enhance studio broadcast productions. Four keyers equipped with four converters are provided for dialing with freely definable priority. The system also includes a Chroma Key option as well as an External Key option essential for the composition of titles. In addition to the PGM and PVW output, two AUX buses are available for the output (in 1M/E mode).

Live performance production

Multiple M/E Choices host various video production applications in a single switch. The V-1200HD is ideal as a master switch for concert recording and for live streaming. Via various multiview functions, you can check several sources, even many, at a glance. The M/E configuration can be modulated to your liking according to the production needs. Control up to seven remote cameras for creative productions, even if there are only a small number of camera operators.

Events and conferences
