The RØDE NTG2 is a super-cardioid condenser shotgun microphone, optimised for professionals in the film, video, television and audiovisual industries. The mic features a wide 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response and low self-noise, ensuring absolute clarity for film, dubbing and voice-over applications. Weighing just 161g, it is ideal for boom mounting, offering maximum convenience when filming on the move.
The NTG2 also features an 80Hz high-pass filter, effectively eliminating unwanted low-frequency noise such as air conditioning or traffic. It is flexible and can be powered by either a single AA battery or P48 phantom power, making it compatible with a variety of professional devices. This dual power option also allows it to be used with DSLR cameras, which often lack phantom power.
